Such an immersive world 🌎
I've never read a piece quite like this before; Sofi has a magical quality with her writing that immerses you within the world within a few words. It's not just the fact I'm local to the area, or it's written with a Yorkshire dialect, but the way pain, chronic illness and disability is described really pulls you in. This book was a fever dream that really hit home. Thank you to Sofi for writing about such a hard topic (especially with all media coverage of young disabled people) from a perspective of feeling alienated from your body and isolated from the world.
