Emotional, violent and thought provoking. Two young males growing up in Watts, make choices, sometimes forced, just to survive. Being black in Watts is hard. A heartbreakingly brutal story of survival, racism, corruption, gang violence, sacrifice and consequences. Lebold brings social horror to life with strong prose that linger in the heart and mind. Fantastic read with a strong message!
